Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short term problem-specific and goal oriented psychotherapy which targets the negative automatic thoughts that are destructive and influence the mood and behavior. The goal is to identify these thought patterns, rationalize them and modify or change them with more realistic ones.

CBT is based on the belief that it is the way you perceive the situation that gives rise to the emotions rather than the situation itself. So if we change your perspective to look at the things then you will experience a change in your feelings and behavior as well.

CBT is an effective tool for a range of psychological problems like PTSD, eating disorders, marital problems, substance use and many more. Neelam mishra is a certified CBT practitioner from Beck Institute.
